US sporting goods producer and distributor Sport Supply Group Inc (NASDAQ:RBI) said Monday it has taken over Ohio-based sports item distributor Coaches Sports Corner and some of the assets of sector company Greg Larson Sports, based in Minnesota, for an undisclosed sum.
The takeover of Coaches Sports Corner will boost Sport Supply's road sales activities in northern Ohio, while the deal with Greg Larson Sports will give it physical presence in new parts of Minnesota, South Dakota and North Dakota, Adam Blumenfeld, chairman and CEO of Sport Supply, said.
Greg Larson Sports is also active in the catalogue trade.
